first let me say I sleep in a bed fit for any princess. quality sleep is essential for a great day. my mattress when delivered to my home was immediately zipped up in a dust mite proof protector. our younger daughter likes to sneak into my bed at night so a waterproof mattress pad is essential. this is a nice thin pad, with a fine french terry cloth top, and deep stretchy sides. my mattress is 22″ deep and this fits easily around the edges. it is noiseless, and has washed up very well. I followed the washing directions which clearly read to wash in cold/warm water and tumble on low. I think the person with the material issue may not have read or followed these directions. I am so pleased with this product I ordered a second one for my linen closet.

first let me say I sleep in a bed fit for any princess. quality sleep is essential for a great day. my mattress when delivered to my home was immediately zipped up in a dust mite proof protector. our younger daughter likes to sneak into my bed at night so a waterproof mattress pad is essential. this is a nice thin pad, with a fine french terry cloth top, and deep stretchy sides. my mattress is 22″ deep and this fits easily around the edges. it is noiseless, and has washed up very well. I followed the washing directions which clearly read to wash in cold/warm water and tumble on low. I think the person with the material issue may not have read or followed these directions. I am so pleased with this product I ordered a second one for my linen closet.
I have purchased many mattress protectors and this brand is one of the worst ever. I put it on my bed and it did block liquid well…but only once. After washing and drying the LinenSoft mattress protector acording to the directions for the first time it became completely unwaterproof. The plastic lining completely broke down. Liquid just goes right thru it now. Huge waste of time and money!!!
This mattress cover does a great job against spills and etc… BUT the sides of the cover rip very easily. I had it for about 4 months and the sides are all torn out. The material used on the sides is just like pantyhose and definetly not like the one shown on the picture. I don’t recommend it unless you don’t mind replacing it every 6 months or so. It also takes forever to dry in the dryer.. about 2 hours or so for a queen size cover.
Can’t beat the price of $24.99 delivered for a king but I wish the side material was more durable. It is very thin netting, almost like white colored panty hose, and would not protect the mattress from liquid that poured over the side. The top is comfortable however and offers acceptable protection.
Good product. My daughter is allergic to dust mites, and this covers our pillow top king mattress. Product seemed a little thin out of the package, but is holding up and washing nicely.
This works well for us, but haven’t tested it with big saturation.
After 6 months the skirt ripped all the way down one side, may try to sew it up.
Loved this thing for 2 months — great for our 3 year old, but it fell apart (the skirt) in the dryer after just a couple months.
I’m a simple guy, with a preference to put a product in place and have it just work. This mattress pad tends to bunch up, turning my fancy mattress experience into a night on rumble strips.
Seems fine, soft, fits well. I haven’t tested the waterproof-ness, so I won’t comment on that.
It is a bit too snug and the actual pad doesnt go all the way to the edge. It did say it was good for the deep mattresses, which is why I got it. It does also
make a little bit of a swishy noise with the sheets on it, but you forget about it after a while. I dont think I would purchase again.
This does exactly what it is supposed to without sounding crinkly and with a soft cushion feel for the bed.
I ordered this American Baby Co waterproof fitted quilted crib pad to “waterproof” my 3 yr olds bed. He has a big boy bed, with a crib size mattress, and this pad fits well so far. However, I have washed it several times, and it seems like it will probably shrink pretty quickly with frequent washings. Also, I don’t know yet if it works, because he hasn’t wet his bed yet. I’m pleased because it doesn’t have that vinyl smell after washing and feels soft and padded. However, I still prefer the Priva brand “Snoozy waterproof cotton knit mattress pad” but it’s unavailable at Amazon, and I can’t find it elsewhere (I wish I had ordered more!)
Very nice quality, washes and dries well. Fits a 6 inch deep mattress!!!! Very very happy about that!
This cover fit our crib mattress perfectly. It is thick enough to add some plushness to the mattress. No one notices the mattress pad. My mom even asked if we planned on getting one after it was on the mattress. It has also successfully defended the mattress from all the tests my little pooper has tried.
We have over 12 mattress covers (and 4 different brands) for the triplets (). These are my favorite – they are very soft and cotton-made, keep shape and easy to fold after wash, and stack better than the others (especially comparing to BabiesRUs brand – which are very firm and won’t stay on top of each if folded).
I highly recommend them!
After my roommate’s dog peed on my brand new bed and I spent hours cleaning the spot I decided it was probably a good idea to get a mattress protector so I wouldn’t have to go through that again.
I wanted one that didn’t feel too much like plastic and was somewhat comfortable while being waterproof. This fits my needs. I can’t tell you if it’s officially waterproof but there are two layers on it: the bottom is a plastic waterproof sheet and the one on top is a comfortable cottony top so it’s comfortable to sleep on. I have officially slept on it and you can obviously tell the difference in feeling but it’s not uncomfortable. You’ll get used to it. It definitely feels a lot better than cheap mattress protectors.
I would definitely recommend this protect to protect your mattress. You don’t know how much work it takes to get the smell of pee out of your bed. Prevention is key.
We have always been a multi-cat family, but until recently have never had a problem with “deposits” in unwanted places, namely the beds. One of my neutered male cats deliberately (spitefully?) will urinate on the rug, anything plastic or leather, the beds, or basically anyplace he feels like it. This only occurs at certain times of the month-new moon and full moon madness, anyone? Why do we put up with it-I don’t know other than we love him despite his badness. Anyway, I have tried smaller waterproof covers (from Wal-Mart) which work OK except I have to use 3 of them to cover the bed. This cover is wonderful. As a precaution I put one of the other covers under it, and sure enough Itzy left a large puddle during the last full moon. The urine did not leak through and kept the bed dry. I should add that I put the cover OVER all the sheets/blankets since it’s very roomy. I have had the cover a month and have been washing it on a weekly basis and have had no problem whatever with it melting or losing its waterproofness. I wash it on warm with a stain removal setting, and dry it on permanent press. I’m so happy with it I’m about to order another one so I don’t have to wait for the laundry to finish to cover the bed. If I find it does what other reviewers have mentioned I will be sure to update my review, but for now I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
I bought one of these mattress protectors for my new Tempurpedic Deluxe Bed at the bedding store I bought the bed at. On the first night with my new bed, I woke up in the middle of the night because I was so hot. I thought it was the Tempurpedic mattress, but once I took this mattress protector off the bed, I found I slept great. This pad has some soft of impermeable vapor barrier and doesn’t seem to allow the foam in the mattress to breath properly. I almost returned my bed because I was so uncomfortable, but I discovered it was actually this mattress pad. I’m just sorry that I’m out the $70 I spent on the Protect-A-Bed. There really should be some sort of warning label that says “do not use on Tempurpedic or other foam mattresses” on the package.
But at least I am now very happy with my new bed. Maybe I’ll try the mattress protector made by Tempurpedic.
